Day Eight: NYC, Garfield NJ

Monday we had plans to go to the beach but we woke up to a pretty intense thunderstorm and decided that the beach was most likely out of the question.
Instead we slept in just a little and decided to head into the city for a bit with Francesca's mom.

It ended up being a really sunny, hot day of course.

It was fleet week and we were standing in line to go on one of the ships until we heard the line would take us three or four  hours.

So we skipped that and headed to 42nd street instead. We went into the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum which was so much cooler than i ever could have guessed. It took almost two hours to walk through!

There was a mannequin of her facing backwards and when you pressed a button she spun around... scared the crap out of us all!!

We headed home from the city...took naps.... went to the mall and to a sushi buffet place for dinner.
